Antonia “Toni” Dollard had it all: brains, beauty, a winning personality, and the promise of a bright future. Little did she realize how bright her future might be. Toni was nominated for a scholarship promising a free-ride through high school and medical school. All she had to do was intern for a year with the Nova Foundation. Eagerly accepting, Toni went to live and intern at the Nova Foundation. However, within the first three weeks, she found out the truth of the Nova Foundation: they were using the power of stars to infuse humans with superhuman powers in an attempt to create super soldiers for military use. Toni was fixing to find a phone and call the authorities but a blow from behind knocked her out. When next she awoke, Toni was strapped in to the test subject chair with a scientist leering over her (Though she never found out, this guy was the same scientist who helped changed Jay Moore into Black Plasma (bigchill13.deviantart.com/art/…). Using her as a lab rat, they hooked her up to several machines as well as injecting her with several liquids in syringes. Finally, the scientist and his collaborators told her that they were fixing to flip a switch to see if the treatment was a success. Once the switch was flipped, Toni closed her eyes and felt herself growing hot, really hot, almost fearing she would literally melt. After a while she opened her eyes opened and she saw that she was glowing. Not brightly, but glowing just the same. The scientist dubbed the test a success and were fixing to dissect her to see how she was receptive to the treatment. However, now finding herself supercharged, Toni easily broke through the restraints as if they were nothing but wet tissue paper. However, instead of using her new abilities to hurt the scientists that caused her pain, she made her way through the institute, freeing all remaining subjects and others that fell for the scholarship scam, and fled. She returned home and tried to maintain a normal life, convincing her parent’s that she didn’t get the scholarship. However, within 3 days, Toni was attacked by an agent sent by the Nova Foundation. While extremely powerful, Toni was still new to her powers and was easily overcome by the agent….. that is till a giant hand made out of black energy smashed the agent into a wall. It was then that Toni saw a teen dressed in a strange get-up whose body was giving off the black energy that the hand was made of (bigchill13.deviantart.com/art/…). Fainting, Toni woke up in a room with the teen. Once she was awake and any worries were assuaged, the teen told her that she unfortunately was too valuable to the Nova Foundation to return to a normal life. The teen extended the possibility of joining Providence, and that hopefully with their help, she could expose the Nova Foundation to the world. She has since been enrolled in the lower Providence program and had Black Plasma been assigned as her mentor. While he was not the best with intelligence of combat (She sparred with her fellow teammates for both), she did learn to control her powers thanks to his tutelage. She now serves with the other protégés. She is an outgoing personality who is constantly able to make friends. She is constantly optimistic if somewhat oblivious, trying to think that she could go back to her normal life after the initial test.
Thanks to her subjection to the tests performed by the scientists, Toni now has a vast array of unique abilities such as:
· Superhuman strength: able to lift over 100 tons. Must constantly restrain self otherwise may kill others by accident.
· Superhuman speed: she is able to move so fast that she can’t be seen by human eyes.
· Superhuman Endurance: thanks to her unique body chemistry, her body produces little to no fatigue toxins, allowing her to work at peak efficiency indefinitely.
· Superhuman Stamina
· Superhuman Durability: Thanks to her unique body chemistry, her cells have become supercharged, making them more durable to damage. She is also able to go on without food or rest as long as she has contact with a star.
· Superhuman reflexes: Her reflexes are so heightened, they are on par with speedsters such as Shadowback and Swift.
· Superhuman Agility
· Flight: she is capable of going up to or through the atmosphere and is unaffected by changes of atmosphere such as light-headedness.
· Enhanced Healing: She is capable of healing from injuries at a phenomenal rate, capable of recovering fatal injuries in mere days.
· Solar power: She is able to create constructs out of solar energy. However, she normally goes for simple constructs like force fields and fists or just regular solar blasts.
· Dark Pulse: She gathers all her energy into her hands and creates a pulse that absorbs all light rays, therefore making everything seem black
· Cold Pulse: She gathers energy into her hands and creates a energy pulse that absorbs heat in the vicinity.
· Suit: she wears a power suit that augments her capabilities as well as power more defensive measures.
Her weakness is that if she is deprived of sunlight or other kind of solar radiation, she will lose her powers.
